International Garden Festival of Chaumont-sur-Loire – 2017 Edition
Step into a sensory journey through bold botanical and artistic creations. Each garden is designed as a self-contained universe, blending shapes, colors, textures, and fragrances in a scenography meant to inspire awe.
The installations combine plants with unexpected materials. Among them, a monumental chandelier made of peacock feathers and crystal, suspended under a wooden framework, evokes a sense of delicate, precious nature. Other gardens highlight medicinal, perennial, or wild plants, revealed through well-directed natural light or compositions crafted like living paintings.
Close-up floral details underscore the richness of color and the finesse of texture. Purple agastache, pink cleome, and blue thistles emerge as natural sculptures, captured through tight focus and shallow depth of field to highlight each plant’s structure.
The Chaumont-sur-Loire Garden Festival is a space for expression for landscape designers, artists, and botanists from around the world. The 2017 edition stood out through the originality of its scenographic devices and the variety of atmospheres: tranquil ponds, lush vegetation, monumental wooden spirals… every space was conceived as an immersive and inspiring artwork.
