Black and White Industrial Photo Report – Inside EOZ’s Electronic Workshop
Step inside a French electronics workshop, where every gesture matters. This black and white photo report, created for EOZ, reveals a world of high precision, expert craftsmanship, and focused silence—rarely seen by the public eye.
Black and white photo report inside an electronics assembly workshop
The company EOZ, specialized in the design and manufacturing of human-machine interfaces (keypads, switches, and digital access panels for the banking, industrial, and aerospace sectors), commissioned me to create a photographic report inside their assembly and quality control facilities.
Following a first assignment of product studio photography, the goal of this new series was to highlight the technical gestures, manual precision, and working environment of the operators. The choice of black and white was natural to convey the focus, calm, and mastery of craftsmanship without the distraction of color.
The photos were taken using ambient light directly at the workstations: microscope stations for visual inspection of components, precise assembly machines, testing tools, and programming equipment. Each image highlights the skilled hands, delicate manipulations, and specialized instruments that shape the daily production process.
This type of industrial photo report aims to showcase technical expertise and trades, reveal the behind-the-scenes of manufacturing, and produce high-value visuals for internal and external communication (website, annual report, trade press, professional fairs).
The black and white aesthetic also lends a sense of timeless documentary photography, moving away from traditional marketing codes and placing the human element and materiality at the heart of the visual story.
EOZ embodies genuine local industrial know-how, with products designed and assembled in France under strict quality conditions. Showing these workshops also reminds us that technology relies on skilled individuals—women and men—whose expertise is often hidden from view.
