Parallel Worlds – A Photo Series Blending Science Fiction and Architecture

What if our world was just a gateway to other realities? This Discover-compliant photo series explores what lies beyond the visible: what happens around, behind, or through familiar architectural forms. It invites us to cross an invisible threshold and enter parallel worlds, where buildings and monuments transform into science fiction sets, and reality tilts into imagination.
Photographed in real-life locations — a brutalist church, a desert, a skyscraper, a museum — each scene is reshaped by graphic framing, lighting, retouching, and visual association. The viewer is transported into a plausible elsewhere, at the boundary between dream and genre cinema. These images challenge our perception of built space: what if urban environments held portals, spacecraft, or traces of an unknown presence?
An Expanding Series
Each new photo adds to this visual narrative. From Under the Mothership, where two explorers exit their ship into the desert, to Converging Lines, where the moon aligns perfectly with a towering structure, these images are fragments of a larger story. Parallel Worlds is an open-ended series that evolves with each new shoot, driven by a fascination with geometry, improbable perspectives, and mysterious atmospheres.
Between Reality and Fiction
These creations are not complex photomontages — they stem from a sharp eye, precise composition, and subtle editing that supports the artistic vision. Concrete, glass, and metal become the raw materials of a shifting universe. The references are many: science fiction cinema, brutalist architecture, contemporary art, and visual mythology.
