Photography Report for Paris Airports – Cultural Exhibition at Roissy
How can art find its place inside an airport? At Roissy, an immersive exhibition by students from the Louis Lumière School pays tribute to the Musée d’Orsay and the Musée de l’Orangerie. I documented this cultural initiative for Paris Airports.
As a professional photographer based in Paris, I was commissioned to produce a photography report for Paris Aéroports, documenting an art exhibition held in the corridors of the Roissy terminal. On large illuminated panels, students from the Louis Lumière School offered a contemporary and sensitive interpretation of artworks from the Musée d’Orsay and the Musée de l’Orangerie.
Transit passengers encountered a visual journey punctuated by photographs inspired by impressionist collections, architectural details, and bold stagings. Through the use of perspectives, reflections, and motion, the display suggested an immersive artistic experience in an unexpected location: the airport itself.
This photographic project highlights the connection between artistic heritage and emerging creativity, echoing the constant movement of travelers. The suspended works engaged in a dialogue with the terminal’s architecture and offered a new perspective on Paris museum masterpieces.
This initiative underscores ADP’s cultural mission, making art accessible in transit spaces while celebrating the talent of up-and-coming photographers.
