Color Photos of Tour Trinity – Modern Architecture and Dramatic Light
Tour Trinity, located in La Défense, stands as a symbol of modern architecture, designed by the firm
Cro&Co Architecture.
With its sleek geometric lines and glass façade, it dominates the urban landscape of western Paris.
How can a single building evoke entirely different emotions depending on the light and colors? This photographic series explores the emotional impact of color on our perception of contemporary architecture.
This series was born at the very end of a photo session, during a fleeting moment when the sun pierced through the clouds and bathed the tower in an almost surreal golden light.
The heavy, textured sky created a dramatic contrast with the clean, cold lines of the building.
A patch of light on the façade caught my attention, prompting a first black and white, high-contrast shot.
Days later, as I revisited the raw file in Lightroom and unchecked the black and white option, a new vision emerged.
This marked the beginning of a series of chromatic explorations, playing with contrasts between the mineral structure of the tower and skies tinted in blue, tobacco, amber, and a façade in acid green reminiscent of post-apocalyptic atmospheres.
These variations immediately brought to mind the colorful and pop universe of Andy Warhol, where a single image is reimagined through bold visual palettes.
The series “Color Darkchitecture” questions our perception of architecture and the visual emotion triggered by a simple change in hue. It is also a tribute to how light, weather, and digital editing can transform the way we look at the city.
